Mineral paper, before final shredding…
the quest for ever finer reduction
Design work requires a great deal of experimentation and reflection before any result can be achieved.
The results will be tested, validated or invalidated as the project progresses.
I wanted to test the use of mineral paper in weaving mode while using computer tools for the construction diagrams.
Starting to assemble and make a tropical scorpion fish in 3D.
After 70 hours of hard work making this scorpion fish, I unfortunately had to put it aside for lack of time and funding for the project!
The assemblies in progress are stored in a corner of my workshop and I hope to be able to continue this work soon under better conditions!
These are also the ups and downs of the creative process, as it’s very difficult to get everything done at once without losing a few things along the way!
In order to meet the need for breastplates, which are currently provided with disposable products after the 1st use, I created prototypes of breastplates that are aesthetic, ergonomic, washable several times and customisable!
As you’ll have gathered, the past year has been a busy one, and it also marks a turning point in my work.
Because, in addition to the work presented above, I’ve introduced a new way of marketing my work via leasing/acquisition.
I’ll tell you all about it in a forthcoming publication and wish you all the best for the New Year!
In parallel with my usual artistic work, I propose creations only painted, cut, woven with mineral paper.
I thus exploit all the particularities of this new medium, a future paper made mainly with marble powder waste and a non-toxic binder.
Know that this work carried by the workshop flight is very rare since, to my knowledge, very few, if any artist has appropriated this new support.

We had, as always, a perfect organization and a warm welcome from the members of this Innerwheel Orleans section.
The weather was very good, which made it possible to enjoy the opening outside and also to welcome the public of the plant garden. A large audience and connoisseurs gathered around the glass of friendship and during that time, an artist was performing on a large canvas outside.
During these 3 days, it was a real pleasure to find many familiar faces : it was a bit like coming home.
After 11 years in Orléans, it is quite normal to have forged many ties. Thank you all for your encouragement, your questions about my work, your sharing in your different workshops, our exchanges around your readings, your respective lives…
I had planned to bring a large canvas of 100×70 to better illustrate my recent work. However, the condition of my ankles did not allow me to come by car. So I had come long before the exhibition and I had dropped these small formats at a friend’s but I had to go back by train.
So I presented 8 30×30 formats around 2 themes:
koi carp
cherry blossoms
It was the first time I had done all my public transit trips for an exhibition.
Finally, I admit that it was less tiring and quite comfortable. I rediscover the TER and it’s just a bit longer than a car ride but taking the time to enjoy the countryside is a real pleasure.
And then, my luggage was unloaded from 5 small formats, which made my return easy!
